Need switched +12v 07 XKR
I need to know where I can tap into +12v that isn't on the CANBUS. Current will be nil. I installed my HKS camp2 and the video converter near the battery. I originally tapped off the wires going to the Nav DVD player. The darn thing is hot all the time!!!!! Runs the battery dead if I leave the converter connected. It's no wonder these cars eat batteries.
Somewhere near the back or at the rear fuse panel behind the back seat would be great.
HELP!

Switched power points are scarce on this car because almost everything is controlled electronically.
There is one for an optional 12 volt outlet in the trunk that Jaguar sells as an accessory.
Remove the left (US driver side) louvered access cover at the rear of the trunk. If you then look at the inner left rear of the trunk, you should see a 3-prong black connector with white-red, brown and black wires attached to the rear surface and not connected to anything. White-Red is switched power and Black is ground. You can actually plug ordinary .250" spade terminals in that connector if you do not want to tap the wires.
If you do not see power there, make sure there is a 10 amp fuse in position F23 of the central junction box.
