here's what carbon fiber hydro dip looks like on my engine appearance cover:
it's not bad from 3 feet away, but it's a far cry from the real deal. At $185, it's a small fraction of the cost of the real deal - and a big bang for the buck in the engine compartment. I not a fan of hydro dip on any exterior parts, as it's tough to do a touch up job when it gets damaged. See: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-cover-129949/
but then you cant brag about the $1000 jaguar wants for the real deal
And I also can't brag about how much faster my XKR would have been with the OEM genuine CF cover - but Jaguar doesn't make one for the 4.2L, only the 5.0L.
Simon Tan,
Please don’t remind me, I’m still trying to forget! 😂
really though IMHO they tie the whole car together, So worth every single one of those pennies haha...Currently old rims are on the jaguar market place as well as eBay but seriously taking thought into buying 25mm H&Rspacers for the rear and installing on my 08XK. Then I’ll put the current 08 senta wheels up for sale... The other side of me is thinking of keeping all of the rims and IF I ever decide it’s time to sell the XKR, i’ll put back on the originals and sell these Vortex Wheels on the side. But IDK we’ll see what happens.
take it easy guys
enjoy yalls evening,
dag
