Talking New 2012 XKR owner

Hello to you all,

After surfing on this amazing Jaguar forum. I decide to be a Jaguar owner. After reading RJC post with his 2012 XKR problems and the last JD Powers reliability results, I was hesitant to pull the trigger. I hope RJC will have his car problems fixed...
Finally, I found one stratus grey with the dynamic package (20 inches polish vulcan wheels) and performance active exhaust at my local Jaguar dealer that they have just received last week. My wife likes it. Initially, we want to order a red italian XKR but it takes at least three months to receive it. We drive it only from april to october yearly so it doesn't justify the waiting time. We lease it until the next new XKR that we'll order. The car should be delivered next week. I can't wait...
Here are some pics taken by my iPhone at the dealer. I'm having trouble of uploading more than one image. Can someone help me out?

Thanks

Ian

Congratulations on your new kitty

As to the pictures, there are some free picture hosting sites out there (photobucket, imageshack, etc) on whihc you host photos and then show through your posts here. To include them in your posts just do this:

(the www.locationofphoto.com would be replaced with the the website URL hosting the photo, and the photoname would be replaced as well - just wanted to be clear)

This will make it show up in your post. The location you host it will give you particulars on how to access it from other sites/webpages.

Welcome to the Forum Ian. Your new ride looks great. Drive it to FL next Fall and I will take care of it for you during that nasty old Winter.

Just one of the many benefits we here on the FL Forum provide our Canadian brethren. Is this your first Jag ever?

Congrats Ian...she looks terrific! Always a tough decision to make, even when leasing. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Not a day or mile goes by that I don't think this is the most awesome thing ever created. My only complaint is that all the highways around me are maximum 80 kph (50 mph) and the police will only let you get away with 90 kph. I can almost hit that on my driveway, but fortunately we have some racetracks closeby...and so do you if you ever feel the need to open her up a bit

Enjoy,

Bruce

Thanks to you all!

This will be my first Jaguar experience. I have more experience with Lexus and Porsche. Actually, I looked at the Porsche 911, Maserati Gran Tourismo and the AM Vantage before choosing the XKR. I don't think that I will have any regrets doing so. Here are a few pics from my iPhone.

Very nice and congrats...love those rims, they're my favorites!

I'm sure you'll have less issues than mine. My neighbor has a Maser GTS, sounds great, interior is very very nice, but the exterior doesn't hold a candle to the looks of a 12 XK/R.

I'm a Lexus guy too...planning to get a XKR soon.
Are you on clublexus.com?

I've also looked at the 911, Gran Turismo, Camaro, GTR, Ferrari's and Aston Martin's. I keep coming back to the XKR as the right choice for me.

Hi Ice350,

Yes, I'm on Clublexus but not very active. We had and upgrade a few Lexus. IS
250/350/ISF; RX400-450h. I have some interest in the future Lexus LF-LC or the LFA if finance permits.
