There are ebay listings for the shop manual on CD around $15. Seems to be okay. Jaguar hasn't done paper manuals in forever.

There also might be some free pdf's of those manuals out there as well? I just can't remember the URL.

Beautiful car. And unusual. I rarely see that color on the street here. Congratulations! I believe you'll find yourself thinking of errands to run on a daily basis. Tip: Give in to that urge.

Life has a sense of humour, gives you wide open roads, a grand tourer, ample parking and absolutely nowhere to go. We could be in the French Rivera in the time it takes to get to Alabama.

If I had a mate with an XK in UK I would trade him a week, drive his car to the Alps.

You have a point there Q&C. I wonder if Mr Toad would have felt quite the same about I10?

I have yet to visit any state of my country and not be able to find a place worth seeing.

Some say life is about the destination, others about the journey, why not both?

I drive a lot and have had ample wrist-slitting drives. Had some incredible ones too.
Some that stand out:
Pensultucky- between NJ and OH, unbelievably never-ending.
Blue Ridge parkway- oh god is it really possible to drive 25mph forever, never used the brake pedal that much. Clarkson had the same thoughts.
I10 between CA and LA. Loved the isolation and total lack of commerce for the first 4 hours. Then I was begging for something to hit me for excitement.

Best drives.
Pacific Northwest- beats France and Italy, pure heaven .I would ship my car there.
California Sierras
NYC- its like driving in a video game, and the cops dont care.

There are some great local drives in the LA area. In the Santa Monica Mountains, on the LA Crest highway for two and many others too numerous to mention here and they are all within 90 minutes my abode.
