Default New front Paws for the Cat

Finally got around to swapping out my worn front rotors with a new set from Brakemotive

Straight out of the box I can honestly say I was extremely surprised by the quality , even the rotor surface was honed !

Next move is to give to calipers a hit with some deep gloss black

Cool and I would paint the hub portion of the rotors black too.

Looks great! How much did that set you back? And where to purchase from? I need to do this sometime this summer, but I can't justify the prices from Spires

Nothing he was asking where he could find them and the price so I just pulled that up on eBay as an example... I have no affiliation or experience with that seller good or bad

Very nice, the holes and slots do make the look even better. My rears discs will need replacing at the end of the summer which have the same design as yours. The fronts however are flat, so will probably replace the four. As a point of interest what are the dimensions/size of the discs, not stated on the site.

Just put up a thread on this, 328mm aren't listed here, the xkr must be bigger size, yours been an xk, mine are the standard piston calliper type, my rear disc is as in picture.

Brake Discs and Pads for XKR 4.2 Supercharged 06/06-06/09

Just looked at your size and there listed as 326mm not 328mm from ebay, for the xk as site says it's,

Forgive my naivety, but how much improved were the Alcons over the 385mm in the 5.0 XKRs? I've never in my life actually seen an X150 other than the one I own, let alone drive one.

Steve, I'm about to purchase a set of rotors and ceramic pads. What's your experience been with yours thus far?

I put on these a year ago:

Work wonderfully and look great. They were delivered within the week.

The Alcon rotors (on at least the 2009 XKR Portfolio) are the largest rotors Jaguar ever put on any Jaguar production car.

Front 400 MM and rear 350MM....front 6 piston Calipers and 4 piston rear calipers.
