New to Jag. New to Forum
I'm getting ready to order a new XK coupe. It will be my first Jag. I've had to wait to order it, because I want the Indigo exterior, and that color hasn't been available since the Japanese Tusanmi a year ago. At any rate, I had always assumed that I would get the Caramel interior, until I finally saw that color in real life, rather than in photos, and I didn't like it. (To me, it sort of looked like Guldens mustard...but I know we all have our own tastes.)
So, it looks like I will settle on Ivory seats with the Charcoal dash, My question is this: I see that some members have the Indigo/Ivory combination from earlier years, and I would like to know if the entire interior was Ivory in those years, or was it only available in two-tone like it is now?
Thanks.
(BTW, I have a friend who has a black on black XKR, and he can't believe I'm only getting the base model. He thinks I'm nuts! However, for me, while I love the extra power that the R has, I prefer the cleaner and elegant look of the XK, over the aggressive and ominous look of the R. Different strokes for different folks.)

Actually, the dealer told me today that at this late date, my order is going to be for a 2013. Should be delivered late July or early August. Now I'm trying to figure out what the heck I'm going to do for the next 4 months! :-)

I LOVE the two tone charcoal/ivory interior. I think you will too...
My two cents...

One does well to avoid the Caramel leather. IMHO it looks like vinyl. It's not the color itself but the effect it has on the leather.
My car has the Dove Grey dash and carpet with the Ivory seats. It's the first car I ever bought, sight unseen, based on photos. I probably shouldn't have done that but it sure turned out well.

You don't have to wait at all, if you find something in inventory that you like. Unfortunately for me, I was born with the "picky" gene. :-)

I like my Caramel. I actually almost bought an Ivory interior, but I wear blue jeans -- and after looking around and talking to the dealership and others, decided against it due to 'blued' leather. But I wanted a non-black interior.
Given my druthers, I'd have had the London Tan Duo that's available in the 12s... but the 10 I found was such a steal compared to a 12 (with 2.8k on the odo) that it didn't make fiscal sense.
Plus, what color combo is more British than Green over Tan??

Ivory with Charcoal is a lovely combination, my X350 saloon has it. Do be aware, though, that the Ivory seat facings will need regular cleaning with leather cleaner. I do mine about each 6 months. The matching plastic trim parts also show up the marks, so also need a washing down.
I suspect you're like me, you want your car clean, clean, CLEAN !!!

I would have to wait. If I get an xkr it would be with the dynamic and speed pack options. Dealer told thats a 90 day wait. I'm assuming he lied and it's probably 4 months. I would try to find one in the states first.
