Just introduced myself as a new member and have a question. I am looking at a 2007 XK convertible. It is a beautiful car but was theft recovery that will need some things. It seems the scoundrels stole the computer from under the back seats. can someone tell me what this computer is called and what it's primary function is? Thanks in advance from this possible future XK owner!

Do not buy this car under the assumption that this "computer" will cure what ails it. This missing component could be just the tip of the ice berg and you could be the Capt. of the Titanic.

 

Just looking at it right now. Do you know what computer is under or behind the back seat and what it's function is?

 

What do you meant, the fuse box attached the rear seat, or the dvd player in the boot?

Thanks for the welcome! I am talking about behind the rear seats. There is a lot of wiring. Trying to figure out what was there before the scumbags removed it for what ever reason.

Anybody know what electronics rest behind the rear seat on a 2007 convertable XK? Thanks!

Have the car checked by a dealer of an independent shop that specialize in Jaguars. That's the best way to avoid a very costly mistake.

 

Thanks everyone for the info. Does anyone have a picture of what is behind the rears seats? It sounds like what is behind the rear seats on a convertable XK is a fuse box and the CD, navigation. Does that sound correct?

Fuse box at a minimum is behind the seat.
