One of my favorite color combinations is a silver or gray exterior with a red interior, which Aston Martin has offered for many years. Of the various shades of red leather available, my choice is Chancellor Red as shown in this 2016 DB9 Volante. I like the black piping, black stitching, red and black steering wheel and black A-pillar. It looks very similar to your new upholstery, which appears to be double contrast stitched just like the factory did it. Done by a true craftsman!

What year is your XK and what color was the original leather? Your car has Adaptive Cruise Control, a rare option.[/QUOTE]
Beautiful car!! Mine is a 2009 and had the cream color. I had to buy new seatbelt guides in black as the cream would have looked bad on the red seats

My 2009 XKR Portfolio interior is similar to what yours was originally, Ivory and Slate leather with Rich Oak wood veneer instead of the Spun Aluminum.
1) bought leather from supplier to jaguar £150 (oatmeal and perforated blue for center panels)
2) bought heated seat elements £40 and OEM buttons
3) Paid a local upholsterer £1000 to do the work inc door panels
4) wired the electrics myself - no cost
Luckily had a spare black cloth drivers seat so could still use the car in the week it took him to complete
So a total for me was less than £1200 GBP or $1600 of your USD
It pays to shop around, the advice I'd always give is to source the hide from the country/region you're in, as many know UK leather doesn't work well in US states where temps are regularly over 100f
Looks fantastic. Im going to do a partial interior color change but can not figure out how they will do the door cards. Mine are black and ivory (black on top and ivory below). I basically want to replace all the black with Navy Blue, and like I said, the door card has me scratching my head. Im thiking they have a method of removing the plastic welded plugs holding it together.
