Default New wheels on a 2010 XK

I posted in the wheels section but its like a ghost town in there so I'm moving over here.

OK, I found a place that makes hub bore adapters to your specific car and wheel hub bore. The new wheels have a 35 mm offset in the front and my originals should be 49 mm from what I have seen here so that would space my wheels out 14 mm which should look great. The back wheels are 40 mm offset at 10" wide and the originals are 46 mm at 9.5 wide so that should set the new wheels right at the originals as far as location outboard. I will add a 15 mm spacer there. That will put all 4 wheels spaced out 14/15 mm.
I will measure the actual offset of the wheels this morning to verify the offsets numbers that I have seen on this forum for a 2010 XK.

Took the front and rear wheels off and verified the 49 mm front and 46 mm rear offsets. These are Kalimnos.

I do not suggest using spacers on the wheel hubs. I would search and find a suitable aftermarket wheel that will fit the hubs without using wheel spacers.

If you do use wheel spacers they should hubcentric spacers.

No spacers or no hub adapters, and why? Thanks for the input.

Actually I'm using spacers hub centric to car and wheel centric to wheel on rear. Then I will need the hub adapter ring on front with no spacer.

Since your Jag XK does not have oversized brake calipers (Alcon), or rotors, you should have no problem finding aftermarket wheels for your coupe.

Perhaps you might want to visit this thread.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/w...-brand-112076/

There have been other Jaguar XK/XKR owners who decided to go the Braelin route to secure new wheels without using any spacers. There are many other brands that will fit your car.

Thanks for the info and for your efforts on establishing these wheels for Jag owners. This looks like a good option.
Did you lower your car?
It looks like the wheels sit further out that stock. Is this true?

I went to a 10" wide wheel in the rear. May look a bit wider, but just a 1/2". OEM wheels in rear were originally 9.5"

You have a good eye. Also, the wheels you see on my car are 20" wheels rather a typical 19" OEM wheel. So the tires are a bit lower in profile. Still delivers a nice smooth ride. Cost for the new wheels, about $1375.00 + - delivered to my door. Cost $70.00 to have the old tires removed from the Jaguar Selena OEM wheels to the new aftermarket Braelins.

Any q's?....please feel free to ask.

Here are some pictures of the wheels that I chose that would require spacers and hub rings. They are being discontinued so the price is right.
Wheels with shipping plus the spacers and the rings shipped will be right at $1050.

Custom machined to fit wheels would eliminate an extra tolerance stack up from the second hub fit, I understand.
Assuming they have a nice close slip fit I do not see an issue with rotation adding one more concentric hub fitting.

Appreciating the input. I have purchased the Niche wheels and should have them next week. I will verify the wheel hub bore and order the custom made hub rings and spacers. That should take a few weeks. I will post on the install.

Why do you have use spacers with these Niche wheels?

I have to assume you did not buy the proper offsets to fit your wheel hubs, thus the spacers.

Correct. I am rather partial to these discontinued wheels.
Actually, I only need spacers on the rear because I want the wheels to sit out 15 mm from stock. The hub bore on the wheels does not match the car so I will need to adapt for that also on all 4 wheels.
I am doing this to save money (and get the wheels I like). I am getting the wheels for $717 + 99 shipping. The spacers and the rings will be custom made to order for $140 + shipping. The tire swap should be around $70 which totals to $1046 complete.
I do not see an issue with mounting wheels with properly manufactured spacers and hub rings and I do not agree with any issues relating to bearing wear on the 15 mm space out of the wheels.
I do appreciate the input that I have received from everyone.

Received the wheels yesterday. Very well packed. Double boxed. From Rims 4 less in NYC. Hub bore measured 73.148 on one wheel as advertised at 73.1. I'll order the spacers and hub rings tomorrow.

Ordered the custom made spacers/adapters and hub rings today. Talked to the owner of the company on the phone and he was very straight and knowledgeable. The companies name is Motorsport Tech from up around Reno NV. $195 with tax and shopping.

good luck with your wheels, just saw yur thread, i went for an after market wheel, a set of 20" rs futuras on mine, 10.0 rears, 8.5 fronts everyone comments how good they look and seem to llike the deep dish, fittment is spot on, no spacers required and came with centre bore ring to make up the size.

OK, I received the spacers and the rings today and the fit to the new wheels is perfect. A nice tight slip fit. I will get the wheels on this weekend, so I'm kicking this thread back up!
