OK back to the B&W. I'll need to change my opinion a bit. I just just spent a few minutes in the car with the top up after coming home. I had the audio on my usual setting which was at the 1/4 (est.) level with some 70's rock on. I check my settings and found that after I got the car all of the settings were in the middle of the scales. I increased the bass some (To much makes my ears throb , TMI) and kept the treble in the middle. I increased the boost some and set the balance in the middle. I was able to increase the volume up to about 50% at which time it was still crisp but to loud for me. So i can't image increasing the volume without affecting my ears. So with the top up for me the system sounds great . With the top down I need to increase the volume to about 1/2 while driving and it is fine. The only problem is I need to reduce it at a stop light or when in a neighborhood in consideration of others who may not like my selections. So the net for me is I think the system is great.
