I saw this movie yesterday. Richard Gere drives a 2007 XK coupe. As for the rest of the movie, meh, but I enjoyed seeing the XK.

 

You are a real trooper, that was a horrible chick flick, you would have to hold a gun to my head to sit through it all.

Why do women have such exotic fantasies. We are called sexist for wanting one that can cook.

 

Nah, you can be female and still realize it's a **** movie.

I have a maid fantasy though. I want somebody to clean up, shut up and leave after. That's my exotic fantasy.

 

You know what I am saying. In a chick flick/fantasy the guy is good looking, slender, a doctor, drives a XKR coupe, excellent cook, owns a second house on the beach.
We would be tarred and feathered for wanting 6 features out of our fantasy.

No wonder we have such an inferiority complex.

 

Yep. I was born ugly and have been losing ground ever since....

 

But you have an XK, which at least gets your foot in the door with the women.

 

If that's all you have, that's as far as you'll get.

 

And you'll have to hope it's one into feet.

Other than closeups of Gere through the window and this one for which the director should be shot, did you get sight of the entire XK in the full extravaganza?

We saw the movie donkey's years ago, to where 'nights in Rodanthe' has become an euphemism in this household for all things 'commercialized'.
Since there are 3 or 4 instances of the XK in just the trailer alone, wonder if this was a placement by JLR?
If so, it was well intended, Gere driving the SL in opening scene of American Gigolo became iconic.

 

And they will drag you in...
Lets not kid ourselves they are more perverse than us. They form associations based on material assets.
First day I got the XKR, this lady in a truck chased me down doing 20mph over speed limit to tell me she was impressed.

We should be grateful for their shallow tastes and Jaguars ability to identify that.
