No luck streaming with my new Bovee 1000
So the device is paired and docked, using the IPod interface- no issue there. The car sees my IPhone 8, even displays the song's name but can not get to play. It stays paused. Pushing play from the iphone, it streams for 1-2 seconds before pausing. I'm trying to stream from Spotify app which I use in my other vehicles.
What am I doing wrong?

So, I installed a free mp3 app (EDownloader) and downloaded one mp3 song. I can stream the mp3 song, but still nothing else like spotify.

Yup, downloaded a song from ITune ($1.29) , now it works.
Since I'm a long time owner of Apple stock, I do appreciate and benefit from their business tactics.

I couldn't get the Bovee to recognize in my Aston. Ended up returning it. I believe the issue is my car, not the device.

I purchased a Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ Bluetooth 4.0 OBD II Scanner Wireless Car Diagnostic Scan Tool on Amazon and downloaded OBDFusion from the App Store. Then I created this Temperature and Voltage gauge dashboard which runs on my iPhone. It rests nicely in front of the ashtray door and is easily readable.

Saw this old post by chance, retrieved my Bovee 1000 from the drawer where I had buried it 7 years ago as it kept pausing, downloaded a song to the Music app (copy/paste an MP3 in ITunes, no need to buy one) and done, it’s working… thanks! 😊👍
I agree that is the trick to make every thing work properly.

if not you need to get an 30 pin wire if you dont have one I bought an OEM cord from ebay with the Bovee plug in into your ipod connection in your console for the BT connection go to your bluetooth setting on yoour phone and make sure your phone is connected to the car, so if your phone is connected then go to your ipod setting, but you must have a song downloaded on your phone to get it to start streaming other wise it will pause after about 5 seconds that is the trick to have a song downloaded on your phone, dont askme why but it works...I hope this helps.
If your phone is connected and streaming music then you just need to sign into pandora but maybe I am not understanding if you are not yet connected as of yet,

My main and only concern with using the Bovee 1000 is the possibility of it messing up the already fragile electrical system of the XK. I’ve read somewhere a member ending up with a dead battery after using the Bovee. Can the Bovee stay plugged into the IPod port in the car all the time or should it be removed when shutting off the car and not in use? Thanks everyone.

I received the Bovee 1000. I got it to pair and I downloaded one song as recommended to my library. I've tried numerous times but cannot get the Ipod connection to play any songs. In addition, I asked for the Bovee 1000 for my Jaguar. On the box it reads compatible for Audi, Mercedes, and Volks. Not sure if that is the problem, but I will be returning it if I can't get it to work the next try. For $103 I would expect it to work without much difficulty. Returned item.
