Default Noisy side/wing mirrors

With the rain finally having stopped (maybe for a whole day)and somewhat warmer temps, I've been spending some time with my "new to me" 2012 XK. Got Ctek hooked up and have been exploring some the changes from the '07.
One question for the group. The retractable side/wing mirrors seem to a little more noisy than what I would expect. Is there some way to lube the gears or whatever is going on in there? Seems like I have seen something about this on a previous post, but can't find it.

Thanks for help, as always

Is it a CONSISTENT noise or non-consistent noise? A steady "rrrrrrrrrrrrr" or "rraaggggffftttrrrrrrrr"?
Grinding wouldn't be good, nor would any clicks or snaps.
Compared to my wife's Lexus, MY mirrors are slightly louder BUT a more satisfying 'rrrrrrrrrr' than hers are, which sounds more.... uh...... toy-ish I guess.

It a consistent grinding. Just a good bit louder than my wife's MB. Doesn't sound like anything is wrong just need a lube job.
