Please accept my apologies for not replying - I only stumbled across your post today!

It's difficult to say whether or not there's a power increase from the Mina. I'd love to put her on a dyno...

What I do love, however, is the sound!

I've been meaning to post for a while but the XKR was delivered Nov and I/we absolutely love it, I was concerned that coming from a TVR it may not be as interactive but this is my 4th Jaguar and it delivers the huge grin factor along with handling and performance. My son loves the Growler and quotes the Clarkson line of "Its **** goes volcanic" when we are out having fun. I had a s/steel x pipe fabricated and installed locally in NE Scotland and that noise, it was good before but it now has that nice balance of subtle at very low revs and grin inducing as you climb the revs.

Nice ride. You should take a look at the Jagwrangler's remote top control. Great accessory for a reasonable amount of money. Here is the url: TheJagWrangler - Home - About Us I have it on my 13 XKR along with the rear window control add-on and highly recommend it. Enjoy the ride!!

Tberg, it's a very 'purposeful' look - I think it works really well in silver. I expect that it would have less impact in a darker colour like mine; with the Speed Pack, mine is similar overall, but it somehow has less aggression.

Ngarara,
When I first bought the car about three years ago, a frequent forum poster was member GhostriderXKR08 whose car was the same color as yours (I believe). I loved the look and stance of his car and set out to make mine similar. I liked the F/X Designs rear bumper/diffuser, so I purchased it along with the Mina side skirts and front splitter to recreate the look of that car. I would love to lower the car about an inch, however, I have already ruined the splitter twice with the low clearance, so that's not going to happen. All in all, I'm happy with the little changes I've made.

Thanks for your positive comments.
Ted

Ted, I forget - is yours lowered at all, or is the ride height stock? I'm guessing it is lowered. Because mine has the equivalent of the Dynamic Pack, it runs about 10mm lower than stock, and I haven't had (touch wood!) any real splitter issues.

I have not lowered it, and I don't think it was lowered by the previous owner, but that front little lip will scrape unless I leave most driveways at a severe angle. I think that cars with the dynamic pack or the side skirts from Mina (pretty much the same thing) look lowered because the side skirts create that illusion of being lower. Your car is beautiful and reminds me of GhostriderXKR08's upon which I based my car.

Default Filling the garage with Jaguars

Here's the new 2011 XKR w/ the old '97 XK8 vert. The first order of business was to claybar, glaze and wax the exterior. Then clean the insides of the wheels and wheel wells. All the brake dust reminds me of my BMWs. The floor jack is a full rise (72") scissors jack that collapses into the box cutouts on the garage floor leaving a flat smooth surface.

Now that (disappearing jacks), is a cool idea!
Nice cars by the way, too.

Jeez, that second one looks scary! Some serious intrusion there - hope the curtain airbags did their thing.
