I bought this product because a separate sealer top coat is not required. It is an an All-In-One product, with a built-in "perfect satin finish". That's described in their Ebay listing. Just click the link in my previous post and see the full description.

The factory polyurethane top coat isn't perfect, as it wore off. That spot became noticeable because it has a matte appearance in contrast to the original satin sheen.

Intereseting.........yea, waiting with baited breath. Both of our XK;x have a small spot on the drivers seat bolster from entry/exit. If it works well, Ill follow suit.

Sticker says this is "Radiance Red"... whatever it is, I love the color. Added some chrome, tinted the windows and just had paint correction and ceramic coating. 53,000 miles. Previous owner had it for 6 years. I love it.

Thanks, I thought it up myself, and it pretty well describes these cars in general, and I think mine in particular.

So over the holidays I got myself a little treat. She's a 2009 XKR Portfolio edition. Some paint dings, the dash is bubbling a bit, and the #1 garage door button is loose -- minor blemish you'd expect on a car that has been treated well. But the top works perfectly and the engine growls. I need to get the tires and brakes fully checked before I go out touring, but I am anxiously looking forward to having SoCal dry out and warm up so I can go have a bit of fun.

Very pretty Jaguar, except for the tacky chrome bits you added on. They need to go.

Curt,

You'll enjoy reading this thread from 2010:

If you haven't already done so, add your car:

Today was brake caliper paint day.....well at least the fronts. I dont need pads so I went the lazy route and painted them on the rotor. When I need to do a brake job, Ill pull them off and really get in the nitty gritty. But for now it made a huge difference.

Put some naval jelly on last night on some surface rust things going. Scrubbed everything down with a scotch bright pad and brake cleaner to get things nice and clean. Lots of nooks and crannies that I used an old bore cleaner to get to. Anyway, before:

I agree, paint code 2108 is such a nice color! Here’s one that’ll have to do until we get to see yours…

Which is soon I hope!

Default I took out the cat after a long time to wash it

Not driving it very much lately (like 3k miles a year). The good thing is that now that I’m not using it anymore as a daily driver it feels more special.

So how did it work in the end? Are you happy with the results?
