I'm not sure if the Portfolio always has the Alcon brakes, though I think that may be the case (it's a US model, so not one I've seen).

However, it's not the only model that has them, because they were an option on standard XKRs at that time. Yes, 6/4 pot:

400x36mm front, six pistons (38.1, 34.9 & 30.2mm), fixed calliper
350x28mm rear, quad 32mm pistons, fixed calliper

Alright I guess, 139.4mph was my fastest trap on 1,600ft roll race. Definitely faster shifted manually as it has less of an interruption in forward surge during shifting compared left to auto. However, this is where you notice how the auto is slower compared to dual clutch. If you try to time redline you might miss it and bang off the rev limiter as the shift is not absolutely instantaneously. It was frigging cold with 32 in the morning and warming up to only 42 during the day. Next day runs had flurries. F type is definitely quicker but not by much. Tried to break 140mph but could not on that day. Back on stock CATs, getting new exhaust and CATS by the end of the month. Will try again next spring.

Alcon brakes (6-piston front/4-piston rear) were available only on USA-market 4.2L XKR models for two model years, 2008 and 2009. They were discontinued in 2010 with the 5.0L X150 models. The top-of-the-line Portfolio Package was introduced in 2008.

For 2008, Alcons were. included as part of the XKR Portfolio Package (Celestial Black exterior only). For 2009, Alcons were available as a $5,000 option on XKR Portfolio models (Shadow Gray exterior only).

A discussion of either the Portfolio Package or the Alcon Performance Brake Package for 4.2L XKRs is beyond the scope of this thread. Anyone so interested should start a new thread.

I finally sold my 2008 XK but I took a few photos of my brief ownership of two of these beauties together before I said goodbye. I'm honestly a little sad as the 08xk has been my favorite car ever, so far.

2007 XK with the aluminum package

Interior is in great shape! I've only seen these in wood trim and the aluminum kinda threw me off. Apparently this was an $8000+ option. Opinions?

The rh round back-up light will be my first replacement project. It works but, has a lot of condensation and may not pass inspection.
She is a beauty, quick question is that tint about 35% that you have on there?

Anyone else have an XK in Seafrost Green? I've had mine for around 8 months and am in love.

Very nice! Love the Sabre wheels, we've had a couple of Jags with them pop up recently. I don't see them in the wild (other than my own).
