Hi, new member here, a couple of pics of my 2006 XK. The chrome trim around the windows seem to have faded a bit so may spray/wrap them in gloss black in the spring..
These are my first posts so apologise if they don't upload correctly!

I had thought about wrapping mine in satan or matte black to keep a little contrast but, have decided to keep them bright for now.
I had thought about wrapping mine in satan....................
Heh, wrap in Satan...
For a quickie black-out to see IF you want to change, use some black electrical-type tape. It comes in several widths and doesn't leave residue. Don't stretch it when it's pulled off the roll and it'll lay nice and flat. Great for a temporary application to see the results for cheap and little effort.
I do like the blacked out trim, as I've changed the grill from the original to the black mesh. Think I'll try the temporary tape option first to see how it looks and take it from there. I have changed the headlamp bulbs to led (not dipped beam bulbs) and also the indicator bulb from orange to the chrome effect and it does bring it up to date at the front and very easy to do.

The changing of the grille to black certainly does improve the overall look of the vehicle, I also fitted the lower grille

The lower mesh grill? After the above picture was taken? Looks like the lower ‘toothed’ grill in the picture.
toothy has to stay in there as it needs something secure to adhere to , having said that it isnt noticeable behind the mesh unless you use a flash on your camera lol

Or the sunlight illuminates the ground under the car (as in the first picture).
