Let me demonstrate my sayings...black with a few golden touches is a match made in heaven...

Yeah, forgot all about that car. Had a couple of friends (they were brothers) that bought matching “Screaming Chicken” Trans Ams after that movie came out.

Where I lived, you could almost bet there would be at least one at every stop light. It was ridiculous! They were everywhere! I was in high school at the time and even some spoiled rotton kids had 'em! A good friend of mine in high school had one but, his was blue, only because he didn't want to be put on a waiting list for a black one. Another friend had a new black Z/28. My parents basically made the boys buy our own cars so, my broke *** drove a 1965 Covair!

Ya, it's on my mind too - I'm thinking some type of wash removable paint though - if there is such a thing - Steve's looks alright.

There are many temporary paints out there. Krylon Spray-n-Peel, RustOleum Peel Coat... Both can be removed with water and a stiff nylon brush.

Doing some research on front disc rotors
326mm x 30mm = 12.31lb per rotor
355mm x 30mm = 14.81lb per rotor
380mm x 36mm = 40.24lb per rotor
(figures provided from brembostoreusa)

Wow !! The 380mm rotor is 330% and 28lbs heavier than the 326mm!!.. Although a 4.4L now, it still is N/A with every weight loss or accumulation making a difference, I think the 355mm will be the logical upgrade for me.

wait a second...the 380mm rotor is 7% bigger in diameter than the 355mm....but weighs more than 2.7X?

The interior on that pre facelift XKR! Sad to say it makes my post facelift example look almost German in its Teutonic starkness. Al least there’s not as much hard exposed plastic as seen in a BMW, but what were they thinking… “let’s see what we can do to make it look less British in here” ? If so, they succeeded big time! Complete with a pop up rotary shifter. I do still love the car, just not some choices made in the facelift.

Not the best photo as it was sheeting down with rain in Nashville, but picked up the car today after she'd got new front wheels and all 4 wheels finished to their original polished look. My wife was not happy as she loved the black paint the previous owner used on the wheels, but I think they look great.

Here's the previous color for comparison:

Black wheels disappear into the black hole of the wheel wells.

Most OEM Jaguar wheels are too good looking to not be seen.

Just my .

The first pic with the Orana wheels highly polished looks superb, it ties the rest of chrome accents in quite nicely it flows
