Default Oil Dip Sticks

What are the 2010-2015 model years that xk - xkr have a oil dip stick? Which year models have a electronic oil level monitor?
Do any years of the xk-xkr have a transmission dip stick?

Thanks for all your help.

Here in the US, only the 07 - 09 have engine oil dip stick. The 2010 onward are electronic monitors.

None of the model years have transmission dip sticks

Been covered on the XF and F-Type forums, at least as regards the AJ133 V8.
If you are thinking of shoving something down the oil extraction tube then it doesn't look possible and no-one has ever figured out a way to do it.
Coz the extraction tube is very convoluted with several bends, some of them 90 degrees or more.

It was discussed once before. If I recall correctly, there wasn't even a molded location on the 5.0 block where one might be added for other applications.

IMHO, if that is indeed the case, then the only time you could even consider drilling for a tube insertion point would be during an overhaul where you have clear access to the internals.

And the real gift would be to build a dipstick for the tranny. Someone had a website for the ZF5 and I wrote him more than once but never got a response.

Thanks Ozzy,
Hundreds of coat hangers were saved.

Its another reason to do bi-annual oil changes, if only to know what the bloody oil level / consumption is, since there is no other accurate way.
Can you imagine any other situation where a motor that cost $15k, not made anymore and only checking the oil level once a year.

Sean on the transmission I considered modifying the drain plug. To have as a siphon port.

While you're working on a dip stick, see what you can do with getting an engine temperature guage!
