Default Oil usage

Being we talk about checking the E-Stick I was wondering if anyone has used oil and have seen the E-stick go down. I haven't in the 2 1/2 years and 2 oil changes so do these engines use any oil ???? Just wondering

I have a 2009 XKR and the oil stick level remains constant. I see no indication of my XKR burning any oil. The XKR has performed flawlessly in 3 1/2 years of ownership.

..

My 07 XK has never required the addition of any amount of oil in between changes. So far so good.

Damn. I lose about a pint every 3,000 miles. And no leaks so it's gotta be going out the tailpipe.

pk144,
I lose about the same on my 2010 XKR, so you're not the only one.

OK so we are all on the same page I guess part of the question is how many miles are you changing the oil at. For me when I say there is no change or loss of oil it is within 5,000 miles where I do an oil change and not the 10,000 range recommended by my dealer. Also depending on the amount of driving I do it is sometime less then 5,000 but I do change it once a year. So maybe I should have asked at what mileage are you seeing oil usage and how much.

Had the car for a little over a year and have done two changes, and I'm putting a lot of miles on. So I guess my interval's 6 mos/7,000 miles.

Change the oil at 8500 to 9000 kms. No need to add any oil between changes.

If you are using oil, it might be a defective PCV valve. Especially a high mileage vehicle. Cheap inexpensive fix.
