Ok, best tires for 2010+ XKR?
I don't disagree with most of what you are saying. I wouldn't consider buying cheap tyres and based on feedback on this and other forums I am in the middle of switching my car from Dunlop to Michelin PSS's even thought they are nearly 800USD a corner here but I bought my car for its looks and engine.
I was picking up on your comment "Name one other component that does more the experience of the car" and for me the engine is the component that makes the biggest difference.
After 20 odd years of driving V12 or supercharged Jags, I tried to be sensible and buy a NA 4.2L XJ8. I realised my mistake and switched back to a supercharged one pretty quickly! Most of my driving is around town but that doen't stop me wanting and having a 420bhp car as my daily driver.

I Love You :-D
I have a 2007 XK Coupe that is an everyday driver. I just completed a 7000 mile trip with new 19” Conti DWS tires, purchased from Discount Tire. Cost $350, front; $400, rear + $100 installation. Discount Tire happened, at the time, to be offering a $50/tire discount which helped to keep the prices down. For this car, I am looking for all-season usability (including moderate snow) and good ride/noise quality. All of the tires I considered using would have had very good handling and traction qualities.
I was not considering cost when I selected these tires, they just happened to fit my needs. I was pleased to find them at a very reasonable price for this size tire.
