Default Indigo Blue

Here are a few pictures of the Indigo. Because it's metallic, it changes color, depending if it's in the shade or in the sun.

Very, very nice! I like the way it looks different according to lighting.

The Kyanite is also amazing.

I'm a color freak, and it's been fun to OCD about. You're going to laugh at me, but I prefer the Kyanite in the shade, and the Indigo in the sun!

How f*cked up is that???? :-) It's a b*tch being me. :-)

I'm going with the Indigo, though. It's a classic and rich color, that will stand the test of time.

The indigo is going to go awesome with the light colored interior you selected... perhaps better than it would go with the lighter Kyanite anyway. Use the next couple of months while you wait to study up on all the details of the car, because you're going to get lots of inquiries.

Black, gray, silver, and white are the most popular colors for all cars. Not surprising that red is right up there for sports cars--it's a lot lower on the list for all cars.

I also like the Indigo better--it's more of a true blue. The Kyanite is more of an aquamarine.

Because the paints are metallic, they change color depending on the light. I see the Kyanite as more of a royal blue that becomes sort of electric when the metallic flakes kick in.

Here is the only video I've been able to find of a Kyanite XK. (P.S. It's kind of odd to see a brand new XKR in the middle of a muddy trailer park/auto parts/junk yard.)

I ordered the base XK. Indigo Blue, with ivory/charcoal interior. It's coming with 20" Orona wheels, but I'm not going to keep those. I'm going to switch them out to Kasugas, which I'm getting separately. (couldn't order them with the car)

There is only one thing that I still might change, and that's the exterior color. While I have always had in my head that Indigo was the perfect color for me, I recently saw pictures of the car in Kyanite Blue, and wow...it was a real eye opener. Basically, the Indigo is richer and more refined, while the Kyanite is sportier and edgy. That color really stands out from the crowd. So, I have to decide if I want to go subtle, or kick ***. :-)
Hi......

I have a 2010 XK Coupe in Claret and love the color.... It really stands out and am in the process of ordering a 2013 XK.... As you can see I like different and have yet to see here in the Florida area another vehicle of this color...... My choice for my next vehicle is Kayanite Blue and they are non-existent around here...... I am basing my choice upon a color chip and the webpage..... Has anyone ever seen an XK Coupe in this color and/or does anyone know a dealership in Florida that might have this color on any Jag?

Besides loving the handling and performance of the vehicle, color is of importance and I like bold and making a statement but without seeing it, well I am a bit apprehensive.......

Thanks and appreciate your assistance.....

And I love Red..... I have the Claret XK Coupe and after 2 1/2 years have never gotten tired of the color, nor have I ever seen it's twin..... The Kayanite looks really sharp and I am on a hunt to see if I can find a vehicle with that color somewhere in the state of Florida..... I have been in touch with dealerships but no one seems to have it and I have been told that more than likely I will have to order it, which is no problem, however, it would be nice to see what I am ordering.......

I walked into my dealer to order a '13 XKR vert and ended up buying the '12 they had on the showroom floor, as I couldn't pass up the discount. I originally wanted a black car but bought a midnight black, which I absolutely love. It appears black in low light but in the sun it shows up as a metallic dark blue. My last 3 vehicles were black so this is a nice change.

My dealer said if I ordered a '13 that day (3wks ago) I'd receive it sometime in late May, BTW.

He wanted to sell you that '12 model. I ordered my '13 XKR on 5/14/12 and it was delivered on 8/22/12. My dealer told me from square one that it would be about 90 days.

My wife LOVES her Italian Racing Red XKR! She had several prior cars in a more traditional non-metallic red but this color is absolutely beautiful, especially out in the sun where it really sparkles. It is quite different than the Claret when you look at them side by side, although the Claret is very nice as well.

I much have to agree...first post here. I just got my Jaguar XKR-S in italian racing red with the "carbon fiber" performance seats and red stiching. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! Any advice on CLEAR BRA's to try and help maintain our paint jobs without chipping? I ordered by 2013 XKR-S on 6/23/12 and got it last week.

Congrats on your car. I got my Xkr-s in feb and really like it ( white ext/black int with red seat inserts and red stitching). The car has a lot of power- the back end will break loose if u get on the power too soon. The car has a lot of grip when cornering. The exhaust in dynamic mode is second to none!
As far a clear bras goes, Premier protective films do a lot of the high end cars in SoCal.
Have fun pulling those paddles!

A dealer that I dealt with in the past told me that if I order a 2013 XK in December it would take approximately 100 days and my lease is up in March.... I also have another vehicle as a backup just in case I rurn into a bit of a jam......
