Bump!

So this looks very much like one of the Palmersport cars, just been wrapped or painted.

Thanks for posting - Hard to be sure but there is a good chance that this may even be my car as it was one of two owned by Harwoods and run at Goodwood in 2014. Here it is now - this week running at the Thruxton circuit in Hampshire.

I suspect that all of those cars have been beat on more than a rented mule! Certainly if Jolyon has been behind the wheel.

With the stable of cars available at Palmersport the XKR would have been of no interest to any serious race driver, beyond a photo opportunity for the brochure............. and as they had to earn a living - they were maintained to the highest standards by endurance race engineers, tuned shall we say conservatively to always stay well within limits, with additional cooling systems installed to guarantee oil and water temperatures, and 95% of the time were driven by nervous corporate executive types without a clue, and with a dual control enabled instructor sitting along side....... what happened to them after they left Palmersport was of more of a concern to me as a potential owner.

Having taken a closer look at the Saywell video, the car is definitely not No9 - but I do think it is the sister Palmersport owned by Harwoods at the same time.

My local Indy (Swallows) races a palmersport it's the one on the far right in post 36, the XJ (on the far left in the same pic) is there's too.

As that's who do my servicing am sure they'll be fine for me to take any pics next time I'm there if anyone's interested?
