Default Parts guru help needed

I have a missing non essential part on my car and dealer says not sold separately and comes only with entire lower splash shield $500+... I can make something but seems weird that this is not available.
what I need shown (from drivers side still there) A screw and a brace....

Buy a little piece of angle iron and make your own, head to the Home Depot or Lowes, show the guy/gal in hardware that photo, and voila you will get what you need for a few bucks.

It looks like nothing more than a wide "L" bracket which you should be able to find in any hardware store. Get two and replace the existing one so it looks like a matched pair.

Yep. "we can do it, it'll cost you $500" is their way of giving you the same advice. They probably can't officially tell you this is a Home Depot repair. You could find a smaller indie Jag shop and just show em the pictures and ask them what they'd do.
