Passenger headlight fixed(?) yesterday - driver headlight out today
Passenger headlight was burnt out. Yesterday, dealer installed "burner-headlamp" ($287) and "module ballast" ($424) plus labor. This morning, it wasn't working, so I returned to have it fixed properly. Dealer said that besides the improper fix on the passenger side, now the driver headlight is emitting a dull blue light and needs to be replaced.
I brought the service manager in b/c it seemed fishy to me - an improper fix, the fact that I didn't have a problem on the drivers side before returning to the shop and the fact that both lights supposedly failed within days after 8 years. He said they'll need to look into it over the weekend.
Are 2 failing headlights 2 independent events? Are the driver and passenger headlights operating off the same module? Any other thoughts? Thanks.
