Default Pics of my '07 XK with Spires springs and H&R spacers

Hi everyone,

I've finally gotten around to take some better pictures of my 2007 XK with the Spires sport springs installed. These springs are not overly agressive, but do get rid of the nasty factory wheel gap. The Spires springs reduced ride by 0.8" (20mm), with original ride comfort maintained. Up front, I've put 20mm H&R spacers, and gone with 5mm in the rears.

Had to order directly from Spires UK. They don't have North American distributors, and even their UK disrtibutors are not allowed to ship overseas.

I really like the stance on your XK Mpresion. Looks really sharp. Just wanted to know if you are having any bottoming out or scraping problems? How about the ride quality now? Did you have any problems with the wheel spacers fitting? I read that some people have to grind the wheel studs down a little to fit the Senta wheels when installing spacers? Approx how much does a shop charge for swapping out the springs?

Hi Racerxf12004,

Thanks for the complement.

There are absolutely no bottoming out issues with the Spires springs. Ride quality has remained pretty much the same as stock, a tad bit stiffer but still very comfortable. As for the shop charges, there's very limited shops I'd trust my Jag here in the Toronto area, so options were limited to either the dealer or one of the few Jag specialty shops. The dealer wanted in excess of $1000 for installation, which was absolutely absurd! I went with Birkshire Motors for the installation, believe it came out to around $500 installed including alignment, tax in.

No issues with the spacers... when trying the 15mm, I was faced with grinding down the studs so I opted for going down the standard 20mm upfront which didn't require any grinding, just direct bolt on.

The car looks great. IMO, you've made a very good decision to lower it only 0.8". The offsets look great, as well.

I am, however, surprised that you did not need to cut off from the lug bolts at the rears when using 5mm spacers? Are they the H&R spacers? On my XK I put 20mm H&Rs front and 15mm rear and already had to cut off a few mm from the rear studs.

The XK Coupe looks so nice. Absoluetly beautiful look. Love the chrome wheels. I even like the kids Hummer in the foreground. Lucky child to have his own garage to park it in, especially next to the XK Coupe.

Hi Albert,
I've used H&R spacers all around. With the 5mm in the rear, there was no cutting of the studs.

My wheels aren't chrome... Standard silver finish.

That's actually my daughter's Mercedes G55 AMG. At 4 years old, she drives like a champ! She's already told me to never get rid of the XK because she wants it when she turns 16! Lol

Why wouldn't 10mm spacers work in the rear? Hard to judge by your pics, but it appears you still have room to bring them out. The front looks perfect.

If I could only source a wider mud flap I'd go for it... The stone chips disappoint me.

Do you have the part number for the spacers? Did you have to cut the bolts for front or back in order to fit?

Looks the part now just need the xkr rear box to match its aggressive stance !!

This is mine with the eibach springs ..No more nasty understeer

I can see using spacers on the rear, but I refuse to mess up the scrub radius on the fronts.

Cee Jay, 20mm (h&r) front spacers and 15mm in the back…also lowered (h&R) and zero radius or rubbing concerns. Almost 3 years since install…. I did need to trim the rear (I think) wheel studs a bit.

Default Do you have link to where you purchased your spacers and springs?

good morning I’m new to the forum and a recent owner of a beautiful 2007 British Racing Green XKR. After a year of ownership now in July I’ve finally decided to do some upgrades/custom work. Looking to put F Type 20” wheels and just wanna make sure they will fit properly on the car and safely. Any tips help. Thanks in advanced
