You need an OLD ipod connector, I think 30-pin? Not the new one regardless. It connects in the ipod slot in the center console. You MUST have a song in the it-oonz library though. Or, does this only work FOR ipods and not phones?
Regardless, you can't stream either way. For that you'd need something like a Bovee thing.
OR, put a whole crap-ton of songs on a USB stick and put it in the USB connector right next to the ipod connector. I have about 9,000 on mine. Works great (although the more songs, the longer it takes to load).

I have 2011 Renault that can play music through Bluetooth, what were Jag thinking! 😂
The engine sounds superb in a Jaguar. You wouldn't want to listen to a Renault.

Although, if you need to wind in the rear brake pistons on an XK to change the pads, you will find that the standard retraction tool pin spacings are too wide for the Jaguar. However, you can buy a cheap adapter for the Renault Modus (I've no idea what that is) as that uses the same size as the XK.
For those that want to go the hard line route like Cee Jay, you can buy a 30-pin to lightning adapter. If you have an iPhone with USB-C, you'll need a special adapter from Denison and need to get into the wiring.
Here is the one that I bought. It works great. Can even auto-play where you left off when you last turned off the car if you like. Highly recommend.
Bovee 1000 Bundle with RR iPod Integration Cable Kit for Range Rover, Land Rover, Jaguar Wireless Audio Interface Car Kit for in car iPod Integration https://a.co/d/fPFOAro
I have a iphone 16 bought an OEM cable from ebay plus a bovee downloaded a few songs from apple music free and the phone connected right away and was able to use my Pandora app and the steering wheels also worked as intended in my 2011 XK , didnt think iphone 16 would work with the 2011 XK but low and behold it work great!
Just get the Mr 12Volt unit that gets you Apple Car Play or Android Auto. All the music you could want through Spotify, etc. plus voice controls and navigation through Google or Apple Maps. Thoroughly modernizes the car, and there's no looking back.
Bovee and Gitank both make bluetooth audio adapters that plug into the iPod interface. I have the Bovee, it works well.
I was considering the Bovee so that I could play Pandora via bluetooth in my car. However, when I viewed the reviews on Amazon, there were quite a few of low scores (17%). Some of them referred to having some electrical issues after use, others referred to freezing, others to stop working after a period of time. I wish there was more positive feedback from forum members on the Bovee. I also read that it should be removed when not in use as it does draw from the battery. Any additional info from anyone on the Bovee? It certainly sounds like a fair price to stream music into out cars.....Thanks all.

I've been using the bovee in my 2010 XKR for years and I haven't had any notable issues. Maybe once a year I've needed to unpair and pair with it again, for whatever reason. That's it. As far as simple and cheap Bluetooth solutions goes, I don't know what could possibly be better.
Yep. Bovee works great in my 2012 XKR....all the streaming you want and none of the work.
Are you able to keep it connected constantly in your center console even when you shut the car off, without any issues, or do you unplug it when the car is off?

I've never had any issues at all with my Bovee. Just left it plugged it.

I also leave my Bovee pluged in all the time and my phone is ready to go as soon as I get in the car, meaning phone connected. I think the important part is to have at least one song down loaded on your phone for it to work, good luck.
