power source
Hi I have a jaguar xkr x150 2007 convertible model, could anybody advise me of how to attach a power source whilst removing the old battery i was going to hook up jump leads or battery charger to positive and neg cables any help would be appreciated
I agree with Ranch. There isn't a lot that goes away with a battery disconnect. The clock usually, but all the settings for seats, stereo, Nav and Vehicle settings will stay. Oh, and to be safe, the windows should be reset following the correct procedure in the manual. All that takes way less time than hooking up a temp "Memory Holder" deal.

I've disconnected the battery multiple times to work things in the car, and it was never a problem to get things back to 'normal', mainly (as stated above) just reset the windows before trying to use the top.

If you want to do a hot swap then use the positive terminal in the left side of the boot behind the plastic grill. Use any of the studs to attach the negative terminal. Then remove the negative battery terminal and cover it with duct tape or a cloth. Then do the same with the positive terminal. Pull the battery and replace it with the new . Then reverse the process and you're done.
