In praise of the A/C
Now that summer is here in Las Vegas I really appreciate the killer A/C fitted to my 08 XKR. I also had the IR blocking ceramic tint fitted and it has improved things further. Kudos, Jaguar.

I'll third that! Bought my 2010 XKR Coupe in Houston Texas, drove it through the most insane heat this NorCal native has ever been exposed to. The XKR never missed a beat, the silver missile shooting from Houston all the way along the 10 and then up from L.A. in constant triple-digit heat.
With the a/c set low and the seat coolers cranked to max, you'd never know we were in a cocoon of chilly air, effortlessly shrugging off the worst nature could throw our way, and with plenty of power to spare despite the heat and A/C loads...
Amazing that cars with over 500HP are this docile and, yes, practical. Averaged 24mpg, if I recall correctly. And no speed tickets
