Default Prepare your XK/XKR for the winter w/ fluid film

For those of us who would like to enjoy our beloved ones in the winter times, we need to do some preparations against the humidity and salty roads wich comes in these months of the year.
I would like to share my experience with the fluid film or lanolin ( wool wax) wich I have used on my cars the last 10 years.
I can only say that this product is magic
when it comes to anti rust treatment. Its the only product I know wich creeps 6 inches in all direction when aplied. You can read more about the product in english elsewhere, so I will tell you more about applying the stuff here.

First of all wash your car preferable with a pressure washer underneat and let it dry complety before treatment.

Then put your cans in a bucket of hot water for let say 5 min. ( hot as possible) so the pressure inside the cans increase and the fluid thins a bit.
then apply to any and every steel parts you see underneat.
Take care NOT to spray on brake discs/calipers. But you can treat the brakelines. Also avoid the exhaust parts, exept fasteners offcours wich can be treated.
The fluid film can also be used as a lubrication for door hinges, parkbrake wires and so on.
Good luck with the work and remember,
this product has been used in the marine industry since the 1940’s with great result😊

After treatment
