Puzzled
First of all, I have a 2008 XKR coupe. Yesterday, I plugged my radar detector into the accessory plug in the glove compartment and it worked. Today, I did it again and there was no power at the plug. I checked it with a voltmeter and sure enough no power. My first thought was I had blown a fuse. I went to the manual and came up with two options:
F23 (10 amp) "Cabin accessory power" in the the Passenger compartment fuse box 3 or F10 (10 amp) "Accessory connector B+" in the Rear Seat Compartment fuse box 2. I checked both fuses and both were OK. I then removed the glove compartment so I could get to the connector feeding the outlet. There is no 12 volt positive getting to the wire. There is nothing else I can find that is not working so I am puzzled as to what has happened. I think it is unlikely that a wire has broken or become disconnected over one day duration. Perhaps I have the wrong fuse, but no other descriptions seem to make sense. Any help or thoughts greatly appreciated.

ignition on for power. sometimes if your using a test light to check the fuse it will give you a wrong reading. DVOM meter is the best way to check these new cars. most likey the radar plug is not connecting with the power socket good or there is a pop fuse. lots of times just unplug a device from the outlet can pop the fuse and if the plug moves in the outlet socket can cause them to pop. but i never had a 07 up xk with a inop accessory plug . thats why i think its a fuse or a but radar plug and the jag doesn't like it.

Yeah, I did some probing with my test light to figure out where to hard wire my detector in. I screwed up more things than I could think of. Interior lights didn't work right and so on. I gave up and shut everything down. Luckly it corrected the problems itself. So I pulled the glove box and wired mine to the accy plug.
