Queen's English Car Show 2015
Queen's English Car Show today, had a terrific Jaguar presence. I would guess there were over 50 Jaguar examples, old and new. Surprisingly only 1 F-type V-8S showed near the end of the show. But, many X100's, several X150's, at least 20 XKE's, older XJ8's and a rare XJ coupe (with a Corvette engine). Many beautiful Austin Healeys, Triumphs, Mini Coopers, Lotus, Cortinas, Singers, etc. were in attendance, and a large crowd of people enjoyed a beautiful sunny day in Southern California. Ralph and his beautiful XK convertible, Doug and his extraordinarily gorgeous X100 convertible, George (Tirefriar) who drove my XKR coupe to the show, and I, driving my X100 XKR convertible, all got together, talked, ogled great cars and had a good time. Hope more of you can join us next year.
Thanks Ted. Great show this year. will try to upload some pics off my Nikon sometime later this week. Ted's 150 and 100 looked great parked together right at the head of the Jaguar paddock. By the way, there were two C-type competition cars and an XJS competition car there this year. Don't know whether Jay Leno showed up, but he had not appeared when I left at around 12:30pm.
Sounds like good times amidst the rich history of Jaguar. I'll never forget the magazine advertisement I seen when I was in mid school about the beautiful XKE "Man meet Machine". Jaguar has always perfected the art of building beautiful cars.
