Quick question (2 of 3): the OTHER interior whilstling sound
So like a lot of folks (it seems from posts), I had the hated high-pitched whine, associated with the A/C. Worse on hot days, coming from what sounded like behind the instrument cluster somewhere. Had the "O-ring-and-spacer" fix done, as per the Jag service bulletin. Worked like a champ, haven't heard it since.
But I've also always had a second interior noise. This more of a whistle than a whine, and two differences: first, it sounds as if it's coming from the left rear of the interior cabin-- the sound is definitely behind your left shoulder as you drive. Second, it changes pitch (note) if you change the blower speed-- the higher the speed, the higher the "note". (Had this on my 2011 XK as well)
Quick question: I remember a few other posters mentioning this "flute whistle" noise but don't remember if there was any resolution, and can't find it in this forum. Has anyone solved this one?
