So I had a conversation with my girlfriend last night and told her about my anticipated summer purchase of an 08 xkr. she told me i should wait till marriage and then I, excuse me WE, can get a new xkr or a 2009 aston martin. The idea being that she would forgo a big wedding and settle for a justice of the peace wedding in addition to me expediting the purchase of her engagement ring.

So what would you guys do? Purchase an XK sans the "R" and get a new XKR or slightly used Aston by the date of our wedding; or get an XKR now while I am still a single man about town and bear the drudgery that is a huge wedding?

I should note my girlfriend is very good on keeping her word and makes more money than i do.

 

Do what the boss wants. If you don't do what she wants you will never get to enjoy the car.

 

Honestly - go with her wishes and get a new XKR or a 09 Aston and enjoy every minute of it and a small quick wedding too....all good!!

Don't do it - have problems with the car / or not and there'll be hell to pay and you will NEVER be able to frget it one way or another

 

I wish every dilemma was like that simple

I would get the Aston. You should do what she wants. You can't find women like that every day. My other half found my latest car, like I needed another one, and told me to buy it. So I did. I know she secretly wanted it for herself. LOL

Definitely go for what she wants! My wife can remember things that I said or did thirty five years ago!!! I on the other hand have trouble thinking what I ate for dinner yesterday. If she is happy! I am happy! if you know what I mean.
