Default Quite Kitty or loud Kitty, you decide

The question of finding the the best sounding exhaust might lie in this link .....
(is being discussed by some of my classic Mustang mates)
Driver Controlled Exhaust - Waldron's Automotive Exhaust

Perhaps, Miss Kitty will approve?

Installing electric cutouts is far cheaper and also effective. They would great if they were a plug and play but installation will add a few hundred to it. And who is Miss Kitty? Your car, or your passenger?

Video sounds like the engine is coming apart. Cut outs downstream from the X pipe would sound better. Also the firing order makes a difference in the sound too.

I thought I needed new speakers until I realized that it was those GTO mufflers that sound awful. I'm used to the sweet music of my 4.2L XKR exhaust with Fuse 19 pulled.

+1.

Although I'm debating getting one of those fuse remote setups off of eBay seeing that basically let's you turn it on and off with a little remote.

I have a remote valve control on my Aston which basically replaces the fuse. I like it as when on the highway, I don't care about the loud exhaust one settled into the long drive.

Those GTO mufflers are chambered, that's why they sound raspy. That era factory style were much quieter.

I bet they drone pretty bad at speed under a load which they didn't test in the video.
