Hi all, yesterday, while lowering the top of my HKR, there was a racket cracking noise coming from behind me, to my left. Sure enough, when I tried to lift the top back up, the left hand side rear half window would not come up. There's noise like a gear that has had all its teeth ground. Anybody had this? Any advise? I've booked it in for a service in the meantime.

 

Broken window regulator. Can be rebuilt in US (https://www.windowmotorworld.net/jaguar.html) for a fraction of the cost of a Jag replacement part, but not sure if this service is available anywhere else.

 

Exactly. I changed mine out myself. It is a fairly involved job, but not impossible.

 

anybody knows where to have this done in South Africa?
