Have you guys heard wind noise coming from between the driver side window and the A Pillar? I hear wind noise coming from there over 35 MPH and not sure it's from factory or when the dealer installed a new window regulator and realigned the window at that time. Can someone check your XKR to see if you hear wind noise between the window and A Pillar when the window is rolled all the way up and over 35 MPH. Thanks! [sm=smiley20.gif]

 

Funny you should ask about the wind noise. I've had my '08 XKR since July, and ever since I've had it I heard the same noise you hearing. I had it in initially and they took out the rear window on the drivers side and replaced the seal. Still heard the noise, howeverit went from hearing it around 40 mi/hr and up, to 55 mi/hr and up. After putting up with it for a few weeks took it to another dealer, same owner but they've had far more experience with Jags then the dealer I bought the car from. Apparently the seal around the back window doesn't come glued from the manufacturer, and they didn't glue it when they replaced the seal the first time according to them. Whatever they did, the glue fixed it and the noise is no more. It is amazing how quiet it is now.

surphnsnw: When you said they glued the rear back window and now the wind noise is gone, do you mean the rear hatch or the rear quarter panel window on the driver's side. Thanks.

 

Mine was the rear quarter window on the drivers side. Sorry if I mistakenly thought that's what you meant.
