Default Rear hatch seal

I have a 2010 XK. At higher speeds; I hear a little wind noise coming from the rear. I was wondering if the rear hatch seal may be the culprit and do they wear out and need replacement?

Before you replace that weatherstripping, try restoring it. It's a lot cheaper.

All rubber parts, including weatherstripping (door seals) dry out over time. I've been using and recommend 303 Rubber Seal Protectant on all the weatherstripping. I like the applicator tip - it's the the right size and makes it easy to apply. This product keeps my rubber weatherstripping soft, pliable, and black. Note that it's not for black hard plastic trim.

That looks like a maintenance item not an item to fix a compressed seal. I could be wrong. Let me know.

I am in the habit of replacing all seals as required.
