Rear Lower Control Arms
My dealer advises me that the rear lower control arm bushings are worn and the arms need to be replaced. I've seen replacement bushing kits but my local suspension shop advises against using anything but dealer parts. Apparently Jag doesn't sell just the bushings. Anybody just replaced the bushings?
Agreed.
You're only saving a minimal amount of $ by just replacing bushings and popping them in/out takes a lot longer than just replacing the arms. Unless you are upgrading to poly, there's really no point.
You can search this forum for my 'squeak is driving me crazy' thread to see the aftermarket ones I used. I think they were movotech also. Rockauto sells them but they also sell ones with a wrong size bushing so be careful.

The OEM suspension arms are manufactured for JLR by LEMFÖRDER. who also list replacement bushings:

Here in the UK we can source LEMFÖRDER from aftermarket parts distributors at a considerable saving over JLR prices. If you lookup the LEMFÖRDER part numbers you may be able to do the same. This is an example for my XK:

Thanks for this information. I have found these in the US at a fraction of the dealer prices. Clearly makes more sense to replace the arms than replace the bushings on the old ones.
