All the 5.0 cars should have interchangeable taillights.

Yis - pics help - that part # C2P21452 is for the whole assembly:

Looks like VIN number is needed.

So I’m ordering from Canada (I’m in the US) and their internal reference numbers are different. Stating this light only works for 10-11my. Then there is another reference number for 12-15my. Even though the lights are identical. I called Jaguar and of course they only use part numbers to reference. But said you can technically use any year light from 06-15my. Not sure how correct they are. Would like some technical confirmation on this.

Ok here is my new to me XKR. I’m back from a time long ago, feels that way at least. It’s been awhile on this forum. My previous 2010 XKR vert. Was taken from to soon. But this I feel is a nice replacement. 2013 with 21k miles.

I'm in Canada - the Jag dealer I use uses the part number (like the C2P21452 you posted) as do the online Jag sites not some internal reference number

You need to use the last 6 digits from your VIN number to locate the correct part # as in the pics I posted in post #6 above. That pic is from the JPART catalog.

Nice looking machine.

You DO know that the entire front assembly on 2012s and later models are totally different than the 2010-11 models, right? And the 2007-09 were somewhat also different than the 2010-11???

I would call another Jag dealer parts dept if they can't source a real Jag part number.

The 10-15 lights are all the same, the 07-09 lights are all the same, so what you need is 10-15 since you've a 13, anything pre 10 isn't going to work on yours and they look completely different.

I'm a bit confused. The pic you show as 'pre 2012' looks to me like 'pre 2010' - i.e 4.2 litre cars - and I'd always thought all 5.0 litre cars had the same rear lights. This is the rear light on my 2010MY:

'scuse the picture - it's raining cats and dogs here right now.

Yes, you're correct! I was thinking of headlights! Those were updated for 2012MY.

2010-2015 are interchangeable and plenty available on eBay if you're after pre-owned.

Well, I'm the idiot here. For some reason I was thinking of the FRONT side marker light. The one in front of the front wheel arch.
SO, just totally ignore everything I've said in this entire thread.
In my partial defense, I don't know why anyone would call a tail light a rear quarter though.

If buying used on eBay, be sure to check that all (or at least nearly all) of the LEDs are working. Water intrusion can kill individual LEDs. I don't know about North America but here in the UK having 50% or less of the LEDs working is an MOT failure. Light clusters turn up on eBay which have been swapped out for this reason.
They can be fixed though, but it's not trivial.
