Default Remove/replace standard exhaust - DIY?

I have a new Spires stage 1 exhaust to fit and I'm planning on doing that tomorrow. Anyone ever changed their center section themselves? Do I need to remove the rear box completely or can I just undo the clamps and move it out of the way in-situ? Any need to use exhaust paste or similar as a sealant?

Any other advice or such like welcome! It's for my 2008 4.2 XKR by the way.

Don't see any need for sealant but a 'wee drop' might help before you start!
A coupe! they are great...................
