Default Replacement Bluetooth Module

Anyone know the best place to get a replacement Bluetooth module for an '07 XKR? The dealer diagnosed mine as bad and it's not covered under the extended warranty. They want $800 to replace it.

What were the symptoms? By chance did your iPhone 4S stop working with it?

I say that because my 4S started acting funny (I could hear callers, but they could not hear me) in my 08 XKR. I turned off Siri in the iPhone, and all is well.

I use just the iPhone 4. The dealer diagnosed the module as being bad.

It may be of interest to you but here in the UK I have a 2007 S Type R, I also have a iphone 4S. If you check on he Jaguar site " Phone compatibility my 2007 STR will only pair to an iphone 4. If I try and pair to the iphone 4S it works for a bit but the audio is poor. I have been informed that the iphone 4S can cause a major problem with the internal computer chip and lock the cars operating system. Jaguar seem to have a problem with phone pairing so I would suggest you check the list. If you have to replace I would try ebay. I now use a Parrot Mini Kit+ to link my iphone 4S in the car. I am also looking to move to a 2008-09 XKR and it would appear that they all have the same problem with Apple.

My 4S works perfectly with my 08 XKR. The only problem was with Siri turned on, and I never use that anyway.

Default Thank you!

Recently (March) purchased an '07 XK 4.2 convertible.

It's my first Jaguar, though over 20 years ago, I had much to do professionally with a fleet of XJ's....

A one-owner car with 50k miles and a full JSH, it was considered good enough to be retailed by an official Jaguar franchise at nearly 10 years old....

Couldn't get the phone (iPhone 6) to pair - very frustrating - until I read this thread. The simple act of turning Siri off did the trick and my phone is now docked.

So thank you for posting - and to all Forum contributors, I've found your threads very interesting and informative.

This is is my first post - but I'm pretty sure it won't be my last!

Regards

RM
