I am having a devil of a time finding the correct Right Side door window for my 2007 XKR.
The used parts dealers say the number of wires coming from the door to the mirror must be the same.
Mine has 11 wires going into the door, but 12 coming out. There don't appear to be any breaks or lumps in the line, indicating where the extra wire would have come into play.

Also, I have so far only been able to locate mirrors with 12 wires going from the door towards the mirror, and I'm assuming that that won't work.

If anyone has any ideas on where to locate an 11 wire mirror I would appreciate it.

And if there is any kind of adapter kit for an 11 to 12 wire mirror, that would be appreciated as well.

As of this point, it's looking like I may have to pay twice as much to get a new one instead of salvage.

You need the Jaguar part number. You can find it by going to any online Jaguar dealer's parts store. Then search Ebay and used car parts recyclers. Don't forget our Forum sponsors who might be able to help.

 

I assume you are talking about the element and not the complete assembly? You need to know if the mirror is auto darkening and heated or just auto darkening. The S type uses the same mirror element. Check out my build thread. I have pictures of mine when I swapped it out. Pretty simple once you know what you are up against.
