Default Restricted Performance Mode?

Hey guys, sorry to spam the forum with threads right now, but I have a quick question; what are the odds the car could put itself into Restricted Performance Mode without notifying the driver? Is there anything that actually reads "Restricted Performance Mode"? Could it put itself into that without explicitly saying that, but another OBDII code is thrown? How exactly does one know they are in "Restricted Performance Mode"?

On my previous X100 it said so on the message centre, not had it happen on my current X150 so I can't be sure but I would have thought it would be the same.

Have you tried reading the codes?

If your inputs are out of tolerance some it'll cause the engine to perform weaker than ideal but not throw a code.

For sure, but would this reset when the battery is disconnected or engage after a short period of driving?

Yep, because it takes a while for the long term and short term memory adjusts to get dialed in.

A friend of mine had a faulty fuel pump, that does not suck petrol properly during left turns. That caused problems. It is probably not this case but better safe than sorry.
