I am looking forward to being a Jaguar owner once again. I am looking at a low milage 2007 XK. Anything in articular I should pay special attention to - or worry about - on this model year?

Congratulations, these are terrific road machines. Not a lot to go wrong with the 4.2 engine, or the 6 speed transmission. I’ve owned a 2009 for five years, and aside from strict maintenance, nothing really to note has gone wrong.

Be sure to double click the key fob, when leaving the car. First click locks it, second click shuts down 99% of the electronics, that can sap your battery.

Oh, and the is the “duckbill” thing. It is the A/C condensation drain, and it occasionally will clog. I’ve unclogged mine, by simply reaching under the firewall, and massaging the rubber end with my index finger. Others have found a way the snip the end off. It is poorly designed, but not something that ruins the experience with the XK?
