Ride height calibration procedure?
So the first 'gremlin' has appeared on my 2009 XK150 5.0 which is that I am now getting an 'Adaptive Dynamics Fault' error on the car. Diagnostics says it's the rear right height sensor. If cleared it come back immediately.
Not sure if it was a coincidence but it popped up when I accidentally knocked the downshift paddle when manouvering the car into a parking space.
I did also try to reset the system by pulling fuse 14 which supplies the adaptive dynamics system but even with the fuse removed I get the display on the dashboard so I assume the car then 'knows' that the whole system is faulty?
Loks like I'll need to swap it out for a new one which, on the face of it, doesn't look too tricky but the workshop manual syats that after replacing a sensor, the ride height needs recalibrating but I cannot see anywhere in the manual that explains how to do it.
Anybody able to point me in the right direction?

Did you LOOK at the ride height sensor? It's quite possible there's something wrong with it. Many times they either get disconnected or the bracket can bend. Course then there's always the "Disconnected" scenario.
Update:
After some research on the interweb, I found out what the status of the vehicle should be when doing the ride height calibration and also found that I use SDD to perform the calibration.
Took out the back seat to access the control module and buzzed through the wiring loom and all was OK. With the sensor connected there appeared to be no output from it so I have replaced it and all is good again
Biggest issue was removing the old sensor. It has obviously given trouble in the past and somebody has tried to remove it with either the wrong torx bit or something else entirely as the screwheads were knackered.
Getting a Dremel in is not terribly easy but eventually I managed to remove the fixings.
Interestingly, the car is sitting pretty level after the change so maybe I don't need to do the calibration yet until I get fuel down to the required 9 litres or so as required.
