Scammers
Well there certainly could be as with anywhere but if you look at who’s selling and check their profile you can make educated decisions. I wouldn’t buy from someone who just joined, posted a few posts than offered up parts for sale. That’s more of a Facebook thing
If you have one iota of it being a scam ask the seller to list the item on eBay with a BIN. You might pay a bit extra, but the added security is worth it. If a seller refuses to list it that is a red flag to seriously consider.
A forum subscriber sent me a private message with a recommendation. I contacted the recommended provider and seem to be getting the vibe of a scammer.
He said to use Velle, they said he wasn't a subscriber, Venmo said it was a scam. I did suggest EBay, not heard back. He did leave a phone number. Called, he had an accent ( which doesn't mean anything) but seemed strange for someone who sold used parts in the US,
It is sad that you have to so very careful to to buy anything., even off of here.
