Seat backs won't go forward after low battery
Had this before, the local dealer spent hours and it suddenly worked. I've read other threads, what's the latest, is there a tool/method that I can buy/use whenever this happens?
Your seat needs to be recalibrated using the Jaguar SDD software. Search for independent European auto technicians near you with Jaguar experience. Read this 2016 thread, in particular Post #6 by Forum member @WhiteXKR - he knows his stuff.

Have access to iCarSoft that was for JLR and has my XKR (and X-Type) as choices. Went through the menus, a fault code on seat back, removed fault, no change unfortunately. Does anybody know if iCarSoft should be able to do this?
If not I'll buy Foxwell NT530, du they all have my Jags in their SW? Looking at ebay they sell them with one car brand only

Go into control units , find seat and you can actuate the motors one by one from there .
Thanks for all the input. But I'm totally confused now. SDD, iCarsoft, Foxwell. Etc.
Is there a way I can fix these seats as soon and cheap as possible?
-SDD: What is that? Googled a bit, "free" ads, is it via a PC? If so how does it talk to car, need a wire USB to OBDII, right?
-iCarsoft: I have it, can read codes and faults and clear them, but that's all I think. "Control units", haven't seen that
-Foxwell NT530, I don't mind spending to get it, but it has to be able to fix this?
Connect the dots closely please...

if you have I car soft you can do what you want to do you need to do a bit of digging around with that tool to get familiar you will see it has code Reading and service options you want to go to service options and find your seats control modules you will see there is a whole set of control modules for the entire car. I'm not at home now so can't do lots of explanation but the tool you have will fix your problem
I will look later or tomorrow. There is another way of getting ti the control units to cycle the motors. I will look and see if I can explain.
ok come out of there and start again when you have got your vehicle identified you will get to a screen that says diagnosis mode it gives you the option of auto scan which I think you've already did or control unit or service you want to choose control unit and then hunt for the control unit for either the driver's seat or the passenger seat, it will ask you if you have a 10 way driver's seat and you do, and then you go into that module and you will see how you can cycle all of the switches and all of the motors for each seat

I don't get into any seat module. I have diagnostics where I can read codes and delete them and read data. I have no module controls. So when you mention "the option of auto scan which I think you've already did or control unit or service" I only have auto scan (under Diagnostics) and Service
Yes I have version 3 with the additional functionality. I can see from your pics now your using version 2.
