Angry Seat memory and buttons dead

Hi,
Had a bizarre experience yesterday on returning to the car. I use the seat controls to move my seat as far to the rear as possible prior to exiting the car. On return to the car, I get back in and use the seat memory function to restore the seat so I can start the car. This time nothing worked! Also there were no warning messages so I guessed no fuses blown?
No memory, no movement with any button- seat totally dead and I could not drive the car from the rearward maximum position!!
I made up some "cushions" from bags and clothing so I could drive home some 100Km away, that allowed me to sit forward enough to drive the car safely.
After driving for about 75 Km and two short stops I stopped for about 35 mins to do some shopping. I tried the buttons before I left the car but still no go.
When I returned to the car, I tried the buttons and they worked??? This was some 2 hours after it first happened.
This morning started the car and everything is still all OK.
Any ideas? Is there a quick fix if it happens again?

Check the Battery!
The most common complaint when ANYTHING electrical goes weirdo is lack of proper voltage.
Let your car sit for a day if possible and check the resting voltage at the battery terminals, it should (must) be 12.6VDC or higher or you have a weak battery and either need to charge it or replace it.
Some or most auto parts stores will happily check a battery state for you with their battery testers, let you know if it's merely the charge or if it indeed a failing battery.

So, check this first before chasing anything else.

Recently happened to me, checked the fuses (under the steering wheel, left panel), I believe they were 39 and 41 but check the manual to be sure. They weren't blown, but resetting them made my seats work again. The lights were off on that area as well so it was definitely something with the whole circuit. My car is always on a battery tender with a 1 year old battery so I know it was not that.

May also need a seat module reset via SDD, Jaguar's diagnostics software.
