Select Edition CPO

Select Edition CPO
Hi Guys,
I'm interested in puchasing a 2009 XKR "Select Edition" CPO vehicle from a dealership in PA. (It was advertised as such on their website). We are close to a deal but when I asked about the the "Select Edition" CPO I got this:
Currently both Land Rover & Jaguar are not offering either the Select or Certified Programs on the pre-owned since there is a change coming in the coverage this fall. Actually all dealership cars that were not sold by Aug-11-2011 were effectively de-certified of the warranty since program and parameters are changing. So this XKR, like all pre-owned Land Rover & Jaguar product we have is being sold with balance of factory - you could of course extend with an Apco or Continental product if you wanted to - your option. We are still waiting for our web site team to remove the logo's from our site - it does state though on the site under the pictorial that the car is being sold with the balance of the factory warranty.
Anybody heard about this? Is this just because the dealership doesn't want to go through the expense of actually going through the certification process?
I'm going to call Jaguar USA tomorrow to confirm.

when I bought my 07 XK earlier this month, I had the option of having it CPO'd, now someone correct me if I am wrong, but I swear I had to pay to get the CPO done. I also got the balance of the original warranty, only a few months left on it and was able to get an extended 2 year (which I paid for) with an option for an additional 2 year after that. Which they quoted me like $2300.00 but could add it later at who knows what kind of price then.
